Oscar & Helga visit the farm to see what's been going on here...

12/27/09 here we are....Oscar Clarke, Helga and GP (one of the Radich sister's) botanizing on the Farm...we had a wonderful time and found some interesting plants That Oscar & Helga collected cuttings and seeds to introduce to the UCRiverside Botanical Gardens...a Tulsi Tree Basil also called Holy Basil that was started on the Farm from seeds that GP brought back from India in the late 70's, and a toothache plant (with its lovely yellow and red flowers) which we are still trying to get it's botanical name...any one know it?

12/23/09 a lovely Saliva bloom spike.....

12/23/09 and then there is GP working on our green gifts for Christmas and can you see the Yucca bloom spike to the right of the pic?  That was our Christmas tree for the 2nd year!  Last year for Christmas Dad was with me in Northern Calif the week before Christmas and GP was on the Farm looking after everything....she had decorated so nice for the holadays and when Dad and I arrived home Christmas eve after dark we saw twinkling lights everywhere and on this tree like structure...it was a Yucca spike!  Dad loved it!  He was always so thrilled with the idea of using found objects for art et all.....
