BLOOMING SOLANIUM MURITANICUM

Look what is blooming! the Solanium Muritanicum that Dad planted on the park way... no, I did not know the name but in the spring of '09, Oscar Clark, Dennis Kuescerra and Christopher Stevenson came to help me identify some plants on the Farm and this was one of them...also it was told that day that thes Solanium is from the Island of Maresius (sp?) on the African Coast...

Speaking of the Team... here they are! Dennis to the left, Christopher in the center and Oscar to the right. This picture was taken early July 2009 in the front meadow on the Farm....Well, I just got off the phone with Oscar and he has the proper book to look up the correct spelling of the African Coast where the Solanium Muritanicum hails from! he is in the middle of processing persimmons just now but will call back with the info, thanks Oscar! Tomorrow is the Rare Fruit Growers meeting and it is a scion exchange, oh boy, does the Farm have wood!
